There´s no such words to describe the amount of happiness there were flying through air- fast like bats- when I first got to slip these beautiful black suede Pirate Boots on. Thank god to fashion industry for Vivienne Westwood!

Okay, the best ones we still have to wait to come, but some of nice season sales has already started! I´ve kept myself busy by clicking thing to my e- baskets and by clocking through streets of Helsinki. Here´s few catches yet found...

Swedish brands Monki and Weekday opened first stores in Finland just about a month ago. First sales are on, so I had to get these half mesh, half lycra leggings from Monki and huge MTWTFSS t- shirt- like from Weekday.

I´ve made few pieces of jewelry out of recycled materials: genuine leather, zippers, buttons and studs. I now have my own little jewelry workshop at home, in my living room.

Grey monday in Helsinki

It´s official, winter is coming to Finland. It´s grey and rainy, it doesn´t even feel like there´s daytime at all. I can just hope, it will get snowy this winter. It brings so much light!

I was delighted to notice, I´ve lost my extra weight from summertime, finally. I could get into my Tiger of Sweden jeans quite easily! And hey, here´s my leather jacket fixed. Now it fits much more perfectly also.

My overlocker has been broken a while now, and today I took it to get fixed. I can´t wait to get my sewing miracle home soon!

And guess what? Yesterday I got two vintage fur coats from my boyfriends mum. Those used to belong to my boyfriends grandma, and now those are mine! I have to fix both to get them gorgeous, but it´ll definitely be worth the job!

It has been difficult for me to decide wether to like or dislike real fur. I´ve come to the decision, that vintage fur is okay, and new raised ones are not. But that´s just my opinion.

80s and 90s are on!

Finnish television is sending 80s and 90s movies every week. Yesterday, it was Splash- time!

Movie starring by Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah in 1984. Daryl wore such a beautiful 80s dresses with draping in the movie, it´s a pity there´s no pictures I could find. But somehow I think they had a deal with Anne Klein...

Choosing pink

Yesterday there was wear it pink- day in Finland. The same breast cancer campaign is in UK the 30th of this month. Is your country wearing pink also?

My pink choice for the day was my new find from big local flea market, Valtteri. If you ever come to Finland, and like bargain hunting like I do, this is the place to pay a visit on weekends.

The lovely huge jacket is cashmere wool and was a bargain costing just 6 euros!! Styled with wide belt it really works, I think.

My outfit was completed with this pale, powdery silk scarf I found during the day from my nearest thrift store. It cost only 3,50 e. That cute dog came and sniffed me on it´s way :)

Few great autumn finds

I always enjoy going outside my own city to make fresh finds. More often you can find bargains outside the Capital, either it´s new or used.

I went just off the city to find this cool 80s woolen jacket with wide, round shoulders and just one big button. Most of all, I love the silhouette. I took the shoulder pads off, cause they started outside my shoulder line. Looked weird. It´s swedish quality and cost 3,50 euros. Not bad at all!

Other find for autumn were these leather ankle boots from second hand shop, never used and

nice quality as well. I can also fit woolen socks in these, cause they are maybe half a size too wide. But you might know, how Finland is at winter time... So the woolen socks are needed soon!

At first I thought, I didn´t have anything to combine brown boots with. After careful thinking I remembered these two bags. I prefer the right one.

It´s too simple to leave the house in all- black uniform. Especially, when every other clothing happens to be black. Luckily, i found this über- cool black and white 90´s jacket from local thrift store to lighten my outfit up. It was part of a set, but hideous skirt and pant combination had to stay in rack.

Why don´t you Polaroid it?

I just got my second Polaroid- camera on sunday. My friend wanted to get rid of it, so I couldn´t help but taking it home with me. When my first one is already 23 years old and makes too dark pictures, the new one is just six years old or so.

Don´t you just love the vignetting and rich, unreal colors of Polaroid?! I know, I do!

If you don´t have Polaroid- camera, but love the images, the coolest thing is, there´s a free program, that you can upload and start making Polaroid- kind of pictures of your own!

Pink Bubbles

Autumn has come,

red nose came with

one has to be patient

and sniffle when needed,

hang on to ones woolen socks,

throw a blanket over ears

and soon enough

the red nose will get tired

and threatens to leave one alone

then it´s time to plug on bathtub

and let the hot water run

time to pick up the gift

one got from a friend;

three cute, pink balls

in a beautiful package

to take chilled bottle of sparkling wine,

pour a glass

of pink and sparkling delicacy

to search for matches

and light big bunch of candles

to take

all the magazines you haven´t read yet

to read in silence

to drop one of the pink balls to bathtub

and watch it as it bubbles away

and tints the water with pink

to jump along,

make oneself comfortable,

crab a glass

and snatch the first magazine on a pile

start to wiggle ones toes

when it´s time

to take off the plug

one can see many little pieces

left behind of the pink ball

those are almost impossible to catch

one did try though

those were pink heart shaped pieces

and were left to the bottom of bathtub

I found this picture of amazing J Dauphin Road Runner bracelet from Malia´s blog. I had to get similar to myself, so I started sewing. After just over hour I had mine done.

Having quite rough taste with accessories, mine is a bit wider and has angular buckle. This is accessory- love...

I thought it´s time to write and post in english beside my finnish blog, as so many blogs I´m reading and making comments for, are foreign. As you can see, I´ve been planning to start this already few months ago, but somehow it took me time to develop the idea of writing just style based blog. Now, that I´ve written my finnish one a while, it´s good time to extend here.

Me, myself and I:

I´m 28- year old, artistic mind and freelancer living in Helsinki, Finland. I love arts, crafts and photographing, and am still waiting to get proper digital systems camera. Meanwhile I´m carrying my Ixus ( and time to time three other cameras... ) everywhere I go.

My personal style varies daily, but my passion for everything shiny, colors black and grey and indie music, shows.

Atmospheres at The Night of The Arts in Helsinki

I put on my comfiest sneakers and took a big, waterproofed bag with blanket inside and left to wander the streets of Helsinki to find all things interesting. It was friday the 21st of august, and The Night of The Arts was on.

While sunset, night was highlighted by Plasticiens Volants´ breathtaking Perle- parade and show with fireworks.

At Diana Park there was Design Auction held. Popular finnish actor,

dancer and host Jani Toivola (also hosting finnish Idols and Big Brother

Extra) hosted the auction with a help of Marko Vikman. Profit was led

for children and teenagers art education.

Three election booths were brought to the stairs of Parliament of Finland

to be used as kissing booths. Not too long line at the time...

Love the hats!
